Your website now has two audiences: people and AI
AI assistants read and recommend your website to potential customers. Clear language, structured data and real answers help both people and AI understand what you offer.

For twenty years, we built websites for two readers: humans and Google. Now there's a third, and it's growing fast: AI assistants that read, summarize and recommend on behalf of your potential customers.
When someone asks an AI "who can help me automate my invoicing?", the answer is assembled from sources the model can understand and trust. If your site is a maze of vague slogans and unstructured pages, you won't be in that answer.
What AI-readable actually means
- Clear, factual language. Say what you do, for whom, and how. Models reward specificity, not poetry.
- Structured data. Schema markup tells machines what a page is: a service, an organization, an FAQ, a case study.
- An llms.txt file. A simple file at your site's root that points AI crawlers to your most important content, like a reading list written for machines.
- Consistent facts everywhere. Your name, services and contact details should match across your site, your profiles and your listings.
- Real answers to real questions. FAQ-style content mirrors how people actually query AI.
It's not either/or
The good news is that almost everything that helps AI also helps humans: clarity, structure, honesty. You're not building a second website. You're building a better first one.
Where to start
Open your own site and ask an AI assistant about your company. What does it get right? What does it miss? That's your to-do list.
